In addition to glandular tissue, the breast contains adipose tissue and connective tissue. On the one hand, adipose tissue contributes to the size and shape of the breast. On the other hand, connective tissue provides support and structural stability.
Furthermore, the anatomy of the mammary glands changes throughout life. For instance, during puberty, the initial development of these structures occurs. Similarly, during pregnancy, the lobules increase in size and glandular activity.
